Take Home Design Exercise Template for UX Designers

As someone that has worked as a UXD for 8+ years (including Google), I’ve interviewed my fair share of designers. While I can’t give everyone individual feedback, this template includes tips and tricks on putting together a compelling design exercise.

Who is this for?

• This template is modeled off of my actual design exercise presentation when I interviewed at Google (and other tech companies).
• While anyone can use this template, I would specifically recommend this to UXD’s that are applying to be individual contributors with 0 – 5 years of work experience.

How do I use it?

• This template includes 20+ pages of slides. Each slide includes examples and explanations of what to include or think about. Sometimes there are multiple versions of the same slide so that you can pick and choose which one fits best depending on your project.
